[RotG OC] The Muse - Spirit of Inspiration

Description

EDIT: Oh by the way this is an RP character.

This is The Muse, or just Muse. He's a Rise of the Guardians fan character and is the spirit of Inspiration. His "clothing" and hair are in a liquid form that resembles paint and changes color and gravity to suit his mood. His preferred color, when not in the grip of any particularly intense emotion, is a deep red, laced with random surges of other colors surfacing and disappearing. When he's in the throes of particularly negative emotions, the floaty tendency of his paint weakens so that it drips instead of drifts. It's a bit of an unsettling thing to see - not that his natural form isn't.

He's not a Guardian, and for good reason: he's a very Moral Gray Area type of character. Inspiration comes in many forms - technological advancements; engineering; beautiful creations of art, architecture and writing; but also diabolical forms of cruelty and torture, horrible weapons and devices of indiscriminate destruction. He doesn't really consider the end result of his Sparks - as evidenced by the one that allowed Pitch to take control of the Nightmares.

Not only is he not the most kid-friendly of spirits, for the most part, children don't see him. He still works with them - after all, kids are some of the most creative people in the world! - but they usually lack the mental personification of their own muse that he can use to work with them in a more direct fashion. It's not that he doesn't like them; children just don't really understand the concept of a muse. With older people - artists, authors and the like - he takes the shape of their personal muses, rarely getting the opportunity to be seen as himself. He also can't really affect the world directly as some spirits can, being forced to work through others since he's not believed in in the same way that the Guardians are.

He's had a working on-again-off-again relationship with Pitch in the past - during the Dark Ages and times of the Inquisition, in fact - and his Sparks have inspired fear on multiple occasions. He hasn't had many dealings with Toothiana, but visits Bunnymund to renew the colors for his eggs and North to make sure he doesn't get stuck. He has seen Jack in passing a time or two and does not get along at all with Sandman; Dream Sand and Sparks of Inspiration tend to clash.

Yeah, that happened.
